It's Been A Week....

This week has been HARD!

A few days ago we were awoken by a super loud crash noise.
I thought it was something on the roof.
A 19 year old girl fell asleep at the wheel hit a telephone pole,
our car, and then shot across the street into the
neighbors yard.

She has the lowest of the low car insurance.
$5000.00 to  be divided among all
the damage she has caused to all parties.
hmmmm, I'm pretty sure the pole alone
cost more than that all by its self.

B/c we are on a strict budget, we have been
working on paying off our car before getting
a new one. Therefore we can stay with one
car payment.
We will be done paying it off around August.
Thank you Lord that we have great car insurance
and they are covering everything and even waiving our deductible.
God is in control of the final out come.
*****************************************
The last two months Derek has been experiencing
some health issues.
After being on medication and antibiotics
with no prevail he had to have an abdominal
ct scan and an ultrasound.
This week we got the results. He has an ulcer
in his small intestines that may require a surgery.
They are also keeping him on he antibiotics
to see if the other issue will go away.
He will have retesting at the end of May.
************************************************
Now the last few evenings I have been a little crampy.
This morning I woke up at 5 am with pretty bad cramps.
After tossing and turning for an hour I got in the tub
to try and relieve some of my pain.
I was in there for about an hour.
Finally I woke Derek up crying in pain and exhaustion.
He rubbed my lower back until I fell asleep.
Two hours later I woke up in even worse pain.
I came downstairs bawling and Derek tried his
best to help me.
I have never "gone" into labor. My water has
never broken. I dunno what it feels like.
I just cried on my hands and knees till around 11:00.
Finally I called my doctor who told me to go to the
hospital asap which of course sent me into
a panic. I don't even have my hospital
bag packed!

Turns out I was so extremely dehydrated that my
body was trying to get fluid from my uterus which
made me have some contractions and heavy cramping/back aches.
After lots of I.V. bags most of my discomfort went away.
They monitored me for hours and thought my contracting
was mild enough to go home.

The baby is fine. Me and Derek are physically and mentally exhausted.
But in the end our bun is still cooking in my oven and that's
the best news.

So peeps can you send lots of prayer our way.
We would appreciate it!

-bladder the size of  a raisin
-horrible back aches
-extreme tiredness
-moodiness that worsens in the evenings
- anxious nesting that requires a long to-do list

I officially gained 8 lbs.
I really like  hanging out in comfy dresses.
MiKayla loves kissing my belly.
Daniel feels so big I'm not sure how he can
get any bigger.

Yeah it's Delicious....

Last march (2012) I decided that I wanted to put the
word Delicious in my kitchen.
Everybody has EAT and YUMMY.
I like to be different.

Yes, I realize this word is super long.
Who would have thought I could be patient enough
to collect the letters one at time.

All I had in mind was the colors I wanted to stick with,
the place I needed them to fit, and that I wanted them
all to be different sizes and styles.

Aren't they delicious!!
I did paint a few of them,
but mostly I just had to give them a good clean up.

not that easy to get a good photo....

And of course the hubs did all
his precise measuring and hanging for me.
Thanks babe ;-)

He did assure me that everything
that comes out of our kitchen is
delicious :)

What's Going On Around These Parts

I have officially entered the 3rd trimester.

Had an ultrasound this week to check on
the growth of Daniel.
He is doing great and getting sooooo big!
---------------------------------------------------
Our 8 year old dog has grown more
protective of me and the girls.
It's his natural instinct.
He does it every time I'm pregnant.
This time around we have another male adult
in the house which has been hard.
He gets confused on wanting to "protect" me/girls
and his normal behavior.
(don't let the sleeping fool you- he is super vicious )
He really thinks that my brother waiving the wii
remote near me or him putting his cell
phone in my face is threatening.

In a short time he will be less anxious
and all will be back to normal.
--------------------------------------------------------
Personally I am feeling a TON better.
My energy comes and goes but I have
not been sick.
My crafting mojo is coming back
which means I am working on my checklist.
I have been painting up a storm.
This dresser was gold and cream. Derek removed
the top two drawers and added wood for our
cable box ,dvd, ect.....
The stuff on the bottom is kids toys they just put it there :)
More random stuff I painted.
New old window I got for free with burlap wreath.

I painted three old gold mirrors I got at the flee market for $2.50.

I cut out Shine with my cricut and wrapped canvas with fabric.
Then I ironed the letters on with that no-sew stuff.

Those who are wise will shine as bright as
the sky, and those who turn many to
righteousness will shine like stars forever.
Daniel 12:3
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I am extremely nesty which means
closets are getting cleaned out.
I am purging the house and throwing out
clothes and other things we don't need.
My husband and children are used to it.
The other day Kirstin came home from school
to find that her room had been hit by a tornado.
She asked if I was having another crazy day :)

Plus I'm scrapbooking lots and
putting Daniel's room together.

Snow Day #2

So two days after the first big snow
we got maybe another 6(ish) inches.
After lunch we headed out to play.
Derek attached suspenders to my snow pants b/c I had to
 leave them unzipped.
Daniel was a toasty bun in my oven.
MiKayla finally braved the cold and then ate the snow off the bushes.

Snow angels

The way it sits on the bushes and trees is beautiful.
My lovely ladies.

I love the snow, I only wish we had our cousins to play with.

First Big Snow At the End of 2012

The day after Christmas we had a pretty big snow.
Somewhere around six inches
maybe more I'm not sure.

MiKayla decided she didn't like the cold
and insisted on sitting on the front porch.
Then she feel asleep and I wrapped her in a blanket
but left her on the porch so I could hear her.
Derek built a serious snowball bunker.
Mom and Dad against the kids!
