Another a Week Another Project

Derek has been begging me for 5 years to

let him build a tv wall unit.

I had already turned an antique dresser into

a tv stand and I liked it.

Plus construction indoors gives me anxiety.

Admittedly more than it should.

Needless to say I kept telling him "maybe next year."

After the basement room remodel he was looking

for a new smaller project until he starts our next big project.

(but that's a secret so you'll just have to wait 😉)

I'm so glad I finally let him do it bc it's so dreamy!!!

With every project he does a detailed sketch with measurements 

and honestly to give me visual aid.

I have really fallen in love with that part of each project 

and I keep them in a special scrapbook.

He had to add new electrical and relocate a cold 

air intake. 

The final touches were the doors and

 the amazing scallop top which he adds to all of 

the built-ins he has made me 😍😍😍

He has really become a wonderful carpenter

and I am so blessed to be married to a man with such skills!

The cheery on top is all the extra inches

 of space it has given the living room.

Snow Play!

⛄Schoolssssss out for snow days⛄

This missy through a huge dramatic fit

because I wouldn't let her play in the snow

in her leotard and boots.

It takes an hour for me to layer these muffins up

and of course no one wants to go outside

before the other kids so the first few sweat

to death waiting for the last few.

Then another hour of removing and hanging wet items up 

when their done. 

And no good mama let's her babies play

outside in the snow without

finishing up with hot cocoa. 

Plus everyone request a pot of soup for dinner.

Basically snow day = mama work day

But it's only a handful of times a year

and they all love it so it's worth it💙💓

Although school was cancelled, Olive Garden

insisted on remaining open so off to work the teen went.
