Happy Daddy Day

Dad's are a very important part of the family.
In my house "the Dad" is the spiritual leader, a rock, a provider, a comforter,
and he holds the foundation of our family.
He is pretty important around here!

Us girls are crazy in love with this daddy.

Now i would like to also wish some other important men in our lives a Happy Father's Day!

My dad and me the day i was born.

My dad, mom, and myself the day my sister was born
(at home!)
Me and my sister love and miss him daily.
We do however have comfort that he is with his eternal father now.

Also my dad:) Can't wait to see him in august!

Our Grampy. Love and miss him.
Wish we were all hangin' by the pool with him.
It was also just his birthday so
Happy Birthday!

Our Uncle Mike and Uncle Brett. Love these guys.

Papa Jeff and Jaylynne
(he just beat us all in putt-putt on Friday....g-rrrrrrr)

Most of these wonderful men don't live near us and we miss them all terribly:(
They are all great dad's and today belongs to them all!
Hope they get lots of hugs and kisses,
I know Derek sure will!

Strawberries

Well we went strawberry picking today. And i mean we were really pickin'.
It was so much fun. The girls were eating a ton it seemed.
So after 3 hours,

 lots of walking and bending,

 juicy fingers and red faces,

Strawberry stained pants,

a lost pair of sandals ( kylie),

Here is the DeGraeve score:

Nine pounds of delicious strawberries!
only cost us 17 bucks:)

My mother and brother also picked themselves about nine pounds as well.

Needless to say there will be some strawberry pie, strawberry shortcake, strawberry and peanutbutter sandwiches, and anything else strawberry i can make!!!!

Hopefully i'll have some left over to freeze.
We can't wait to go back for all the other berries coming up!

We Love Summer!

We welcomed summer with a movie marathon. One, Two, and Three of Narnia!

Salvation Army came to pick up 6 big bags and 5 boxes this morning. yeah the shed is clean!

We have been playing outside a ton. Doing yard work and gardening!
So far we have yummy spinach, lettuce, tomatoes (big red ones and cherry yellow ones)
and we have sprouting baby green beans, zucchini, squash, and carrots.
And very soon we will have cucumbers and pickling cucumbers and hopefully peppers!

Today's high is 66......in June 66 degrees.
That's crazy huh.

In the next few days we are hoping to go berry picking,
make a trip to the zoo, and take the girls to toys-r-us to spend some of there birthday money on Squinkies. As if the 100 they have isn't enough already ;)

What a Week

MiKayla turned one last friday.
She had a sweet little birthday party filled with smiles.

I can not believe she is one.
She is such a sweet baby girl.
We all love her so much.

I was a difficult week for the momma.
My oldest turning 9 and seven days later my baby turning 1 :(
Everyone is growing up to fast for my comfort!

Today was Kirstin's last day of school,
thank the Lord!
We are sick sick sick of school and are looking forward to this summer break.
The younger girls are so happy that she will be home.
They all slept in the big bed together last night.
This morning Kirstin had school for one hour so Kaveri and Kylie waited for her to return with great excitement:)

"I'm really gonna miss my friends but I'm looking forward to spending some time with my family and staying up late!"
-said by Kirstin this morning while getting dresses:)
