Happy Birthday Kylie!

These children will not stop growing!
Her favorite present was this "sew cool"
Thanks Gramma!

It was a beautiful 65 degree day.
We went to the park and the kids road around the empty
tennis courts and then we all played softball.

Then we walked the 2.5 miles around the pond.

We were off of yeast for the week of Passover so
we had custard instead of cake.
She had a huge Tin Roof Sundae with a cherry on top!

We ended the day with tacos per her request:)

Kylie is very creative. She has a craft drawer in her room
and is constantly making all sorts of things,
She recently made her American Girl Doll
a backpack out of duck tape and an empty washed
crouton bag!
Also a doll size tissue box out of cardboard
which she covered with washi tape.
She loves to play store where she is the cashier.
Her favorite part is scanning the sale items
with her "real" price scanner:))))

The last few months she has been learning how to cook
and helps with dinner often.
Her favorite after school snack to make herself:
fresh spinach and bell peppers which she sautes and squeezes
fresh lemon.

She is one special little lady!

The Boy Turns 4!!!

Can you believe this little guy is 4???
Ya, me neither :(

As you can see he was LOVING all of the
birthday attention!

The best part every year is watching him try to blow out his candles.
He tends to blow upward instead of forward and really
gets going. We all laugh and he loves the attention!

I can't even with this cutie!!!
**All the mommy heart eyes**

His current 4 year old status:
sensitive
particular
crazy
funny
strong willed
loves mario and sonic
fast
rough and very strong
always learning new things
and teacher them to Gabriella:)

Daniel Eliyahu we are forever
thankful that God gave us a strong son
that somehow manages to balance out
all the girls!

Gabriella Emi turned TWO

First she was unsure of what was going on.
Then she decided she did not like the candle flames.
Everyone took turns trying to show her how
to blow them out.
That didn't work lol

Notice the boys face to the left!

Mommy stepped in and it was all better ;-)))))

Once she realized it tasted yummy she was ready!

Gabriella Emi is growing so fast.
We are all sad that the baby of the family is
turning into a very petite toddler.
She has just enough hair for a ponytail
that sticks straight up in the air.
She runs fast and keeps up with her brother.
She LOVES to dance and hates the car.
She loves to cuddle and kiss boo-boos, especially her own.
She follows her daddy around like
he has candy in his pockets.
She loves dresses and shoes, even if
they don't belong to her.
She is 20 lbs of love and giggles!
We are all very much in love with little
Gabri!

Mini Room Make Over for the Big Girls

New sheets, navy bedding, and gold sparkle pillows=fabulousness!

I bought the dresser from habitat. That bad boy is
solid heavy wood. The nightstand we already owned.
 You just can't get the
gold you want in regular paint so ....
I used spray paint.
I let each coat dry fully before spraying the next.
After 24 hours I added a crystal clear top coat
for protection and cleaning purposes.
The drawers I used coral chalk paint.
After they were completely dry I used
an aging wax for protection but
also to achieve the dark coral color I wanted.
We used a coupon for that cute light box from Micheals.

The girls love the way everything turned out and so do I:)

My Survival Guide to a House Full of Pukes

With a large family comes plenty of germs
and even more opportunities to pick them up.

Over our winter break we were sick.
Really really sick.
Here is my survival guide.
Your Welcome ;-)

Step 1: At the first sight of throw up put everyone's
hair in a bun on top of the head.
Trust me a pony tail just won't do.
It takes one second for that tail to hop in front of
a puking person.
Even the mom needs one!
No one likes cleaning puke out of
someones hair at 3 am.

Step 2:No matter who is the one throwing up
get multiple buckets or trashcans lined
with lots of grocery bags.
Pass them out like candy!
You never know who the next victim
who can't make it to the toilet will be.

Step 3: Go ahead a put a lined trashcan next to
the toilet. You never know who will need
a toilet AND a trashcan at the same time.
Enough said!

Step 4: You know that soft rug that sits near your toilet?
Pick that bad boy up unless you are
ok with risking puke-or other bodily fluids-
ending up on that said rug.

Step 5:Go ahead and give everyone a towel
to lay on their pillow.
If they have even a little accident or
dribble you can just toss that towel in
your mountain of laundry vs
finding another pillow.

Step 6: In regards to that mountain of laundry,
keep it going!
Otherwise you will wind up with no towels and no sheets.
No one wants to sleep on plain mattress
while feeling like death.

Step 7: To that child who is dying for
a "sip" of water, only to chug the
whole cup. Puke and repeat.
Give them ice chips to suck on.
Just trust me.

Step 8:A warm bath, hot or cold washcloth,
and a heating pad are your friends.

Step 9: Make sure you have a spouse
that can clean up the poop and puke
that doesn't make it in the toilet.
Lord knows the sight and smell
will make you puke!

Step 10: This is important!
Keep lysol and clorox wipes
on every floor.

Lastly I would like to remind you
that if you think someone in your house
 has escaped the sickness....
think again. Chances are they
will meet you in the bathroom shortly.

I hope you find this survival guide useful:)

Hanukkah 2017

All of those sheets in the background is a huge tent
that Derek built for the kids:)

Well the very first night that winter break had started
MiKayla started throwing up.
From there we all took turns throwing up,
pooping,fever, chills,and body aches.
And did I mention the crying???
Even the adult lady of the house spent a day crying!
It lasted the ENTIRE 2 week school vacation.
I did about 20 loads of puke laundry.
Derek cleaned up about that many
-didn't make it to the toilet-
accidents.
We all tried our best to continue with
our normal Hanukkah festivities.
Praying next year will be better!
