I finally found the perfect lamp

at an estate sale but it was

after i took all the pics.

excuse me mom, I'm blogging ;)

Spice racks from ikea, stained and used as

book shelves behind the door.

Box Derek made from barwood above closet doors.

Slight vintage globe obsession.

Grampa's boots.

I had lots of fun finding all the new and vintage stuff 

to go in his room :)

Snow Fun 2014

Kirstin was at a sledding party! 

The pup hates the snow

but likes to eat it.

The babe likes to eat it too :)

We are ready for some spring!

His Favorite Spots

In my shirt.

He is obsessed with this spot.

It's cold around here so on the vent is his favorite.

Sometimes under the lamp makes him feel safe,

especially from the vacuum.

When it's really chilly and we bring out the little heaters

around the house, he picks one and sits in front of it.

And his little squeaky buddy gets cold too.

The minute the dishwasher opens they both flock

to it like moths to light.

And of course he is willing to nap on anyone's lap.

Jonah ran off like a bandit with some ribbon.

He is a cutie.

Our family tradition is to go eat hibachi and sushi

on xmas night.....

Makes me want some sushi right now.

The Last of the Random Kid Conversations for 2013

MiKayla: "can we go down stairs? My brain hurts up here."
Me: "sure"

MiKayla: "will Daniel's wienie fall off when hes bigger?"
Me: "No way!"

Me and Kirstin made chinese stir-fry for dinner.
MiKayla: "what are these green things?"
Kaveri: "centipedes"
MiKayla: "the centipedes are yummy"
(they were snowpeas)

At dinner-family talk-
Me: " Kaveri what was your favorite thing about today"
Kaveri: "this morning when dad yelled at me before school,
it made my heart go beep,beep, beep!"
Enter super sarcastic tone and eye roll

"I told you you I'm a good lipstick chapper"

Kylie: "What's for dinner?"

Me: "corn cheddar chowder" (soup)

MiKayla: "what did she say Kylie?"

Kylie: "chicken nugget soup"

Me: "MiKayla can you scoot over a little, your squishing me"

MiKayla: "no sorry mom, i don't want to get kidnapped"

While goof-ball dancing

Kirstin walks in: "mom are you twerking?"

Me: "Don't ever say that again!"
