Another Happy Birthday!

Derek's birthday pictures are always my favorites.

The man I love surrounded by all of his loves.

We were all talking about things that we love about dad.

There are so many!

Since the first day of kindergarten for Kirstin,

 he has driven each of our children to school.

He never goes through the drop off lane.

He parks and walks each one of them up to the doors.

Every.Single.Day.

He has always told me it is one of his

daily tasks that gives him so much joy.

When I asked the girls some of their favorite
things about him each one of them
mentioned the school mornings with him.

He walks MiKayla up, spins her like a
princess, gives her kiss and watches her walk
 into the school, she turns and waves from the top of the stairs
and he won't leave until he can't see her anymore.👸🥰

Kylie and Kaveri said he always tells them how pretty
they look. He walks them both up,
 they do a group hug(for real) and kisses
them and they aren't embarrassed 😄🥰
Kaveri also mentioned that when he
wakes her up for school he will lay in bed with her
giving her some extra morning hugs  🤗🤗

Kirstin said she enjoys their morning life conversations,
he always tells her she is pretty, and he even
makes the occasional stop at the pop shop
for a dr. pepper for her. 💖🥰



One of my favorite memories from this year actually
happened not to long before his bday.

We recently went on a breakfast date.

I excused myself to go to the bathroom and 

when I came out our waitress was standing outside the bathroom.

She had waited for me to come out to let me know

while I was gone from the table he had stopped eating.

She went over to ask if everything was ok with his food.

He told her it was but that he did not want to eat while

his date was away from the table.

She thought it was so sweet she had to tell me.

Then she asked if we were newly weds.

I laughed and told her "nope, we're just really in love."

Getting older is never the funnest thing to do 

but all the memories make me appreciate

each birthday differently.

All the hardships with have overcome.

All the laughs we've shared.

Our love really shines through 

and you can see it in our children.

I am forever grateful to be his wife

and partner in life.
