Finished Re-Done Mantel

Our mantel is finished.

(actually has been for a few weeks)

Derek and I worked on it a little everyday for about a week.

Then done. And beautiful!

We sanded the heck outta of it.

Derek had to fix some places that had really big chunks missing.

Plus a few boards were damaged beyond repair so

he had to replace them entirely.

Had to cut some trim out of our baseboard so it would

lay flush against the wall.

Paint of course.

Then we sanded some spots and rubbed stain on them

for that look I love.

I am so happy with it.

Every morning I come down the stairs makes me smile:)
