New York City-Trip 2

Kirstin was invited to New York with Gramma and Luke.
Round two, here we go!

The weather was on the chilly side but Kirstin actually liked it
since they did alot of walking around.

They did a bus tour which everyone enjoyed.

They walked, and walked, and walked some more.
The teens had a hard time keeping up with gramma.

Kirstin's favorite part of the trip was the
'School of Rock' musical.

Art museums, 9/11 memorial, riding the ferry,
China town, and Central Park is just to name a
few of their adventures.

My favorite pic:)

They had an amazing time filled with lots
of sight seeing and good food.
Kirstin is definitely a city gal.
She loves people watching and walking around exploring.
Luke was happy to have out grown Kirstin
and is full blown teenage boy.
It was awesome that they got to spend some time together
at this age. I'm positive they will remember the trip forever!
Gramma is definitely the traveling adventure seeker of the family, and
we are so glad Kirstin got to experience New York with them both.

A Visit With Grandpa-May 2017

Grandpa came to visit!
Everyone is always super excited to when he comes to town.
He is definitely an adventure seeker.

They got manicures.

He  ventured to the 'dangerous for parents' toy store with them!

They went on the Duck tour. It's a big truck that tours the city
then makes its way into the river and you go around seeing
Pittsburgh from the water.
Daniel got to drive the boat and even got his license:)

Sadly I accidently deleted the other photos:(
I guess he will have to come back for
some more adventuring!

Look It's More School Programs!

Sadly, Gabriella had her fall on the night of Kaveri's school
concert and she didn't want to go without us there:(
She did perform some of her songs the next day at home
and was such a cutie.

Kylie's came next.
Look very carefully at this picture.
On the left is a little girl with curly hair in a white dress.
That's been Kylie's bestie all year long.
They were so cute looking at each other smiling the entire concert:)

She had a speaking part and she did great!
They rushed them back off to class so I didn't get to
take any more pics:(

Last but not least was the cute kindergartners.

MiKayla was sooooo adorable!!
We were all invited back to their classrooms for
the 'Reading Restaurant.'
Our waitress read us poems and books then served
us cookies!

By this time Grandpa was in town for a visit
and he was so excited to come along.

She has made so many friends this year and turned into
a little social butterfly. We absolutely love her teacher.
(she has had all the girls for kindergarten)
MiKayla was at the top of her class the entire year
with letters,writing,math, and reading!
Miss Smarty Pants:)))
We are so proud!

The Honors Banquet A Choir Concert + The GPA Luncheon

With the school year coming to an end things
are CRAZY busy around here.

Let's start with the freshman!
Out of 100s of freshman she is
in the TOP 10 of 9th grade!!!

We attended an honors banquet for the top 10 of
each high school grade where they received their awards.
These are the top 10 freshman.

Then she had her music concert at the high school.

And we rounded out the year with the Highest GPA Luncheon.

We are over the moon so proud of Kirstin.
She studied very hard all year and made straight A's.
Her favorite classes this year were Spanish,Math,
and Choir.

The Cracked Clavicle

About three weeks ago the littlest lady took a tumble
off of her chair. Only about 2 ft off the ground and landed on
the carpet but landed just wrong and cracked
her clavicle.
We spent a few hours in the emergency room
with lots of tears from her and us.

We were told that they don't prefer to cast anything
and sent us home with a little sling and
 no pain meds.
For the first week she refused to leave the bed or
even sit up.
She was in  a lot of pain and it was so sad.

She had her tablet and toys and we just made the best
of the situation.
We all basically hung out upstairs with her for the week.

After a week we finally moved to the couch.
She was wobbly and weak but happy to be downstairs.
A few days after that she finally agreed walk around a bit.
Her brother did lots of special things to keep her laughing.
Mostly all too fast for my camera to catch!

She is now refusing the sling. It irritates her neck.
She is mostly back to her old self.
We are having trouble getting her to take it easy which
means she gets sore often:(((
Thank you everyone for all the prayers!
