He's a Good Boy

We have three dogs.

One is a boy.

He loves our girls.

He sleeps with Kaveri and Kylie.

He gets ridden like a pony.

Stepped on. Played on.

And of course loved on.

He likes to sit on your feet.....literally.

He weighs about 90 lbs.

He is 7 yrs old.

He is a Doberman.

He is wearing his daddy's old shirt b/c he shivers all the time and his sweater was dirty.

He is wearing his babies cool glasses.

Describes him pretty well.

Over the years he seems to stay the same sweet boy 

that we all love.

Something Funny...... I Mean Gross!

Ok, here is the set up:

We, as a family, are walking around Hobby Lobby, searching for craft supplies;-)

Kylie has decided to she wants to ride in the front of the cart.

Daddy is pushing the cart at this point.

Somehow he starts to play a joke that only a daddy would think is funny

and a mommy gag laughs.

He is using one finger to pretend pick her nose,

and then sticking a different finger in his mouth as if he's eatin' her 

nasty little girl boogies.

Lots of loud girls laughing and ew-ing.

Now fast forward a few minutes of this game,

and Kylie wants to actually join in the boogie picking.

Only daddy wasn't watching.

(can you see what's comin' next?)

!!!!!!and!!!!!!

puts it in daddys mouth.

Oh my word, nasty!

He quickly spits it out and is laughing.

How can this man be laughing?

I would for sure be gagging.

This is one memory for the books!

Picture Frame Jewelry Holder

They have everything.

Literally everything your little hearts desire.

Well, I tried my hand at some frames.

And I really love them.

I used the small square wire for the necklace and earring frames.

Chicken wire for my hair-clip frame.

I got the frames 50% off and they were already backless and glassless.

 I cut the wire to fit the frames, leaving enough around the edges to be able to staple.

Then I took the wire outside and spray painted it cream.

Derek helped me staple it on.

I added the flowers.

Done!

Derek hung them in our closet.

I only wish we had painted the walls before building our closet.

They are so boring.

But these frames add flare and function ;-)

Sweet Popcorn

There once was a boy and a girl.

The girl fell head over heels.

The boy loved her like no other.

One night while at home this boy and girl were going to a watch a movie.

So off they went to make some popcorn.

The microwave kind.

This girl complained that movie theater popcorn was so much tastier.

The boy looked at this girl and said

lets get in the car and get some good popcorn.

With a huge smile on her face, she watched as her

boy went in the theater and bought a big tub of buttery popcorn

and walked it out to the car.

Fast forward some years and some babies.

This boy is now her loving husband.

And this husband , he's a sweet one.

They have made many a trips to the theater

to only bring a big tub of buttery popcorn home.

And this girl is now a lucky lady.

Some Goodies

Look what I got....

I HEART them lots.

Candlestick holders. 15 to be exact.

Spray painted blue/aqua and pink. Then sanded a little for that look I love :)

As you can see there are still two left to paint.....

I'm thinking white.

Ooooh baby, I have some super cute-exciting things planned for these babies.

Can't wait!

A Day of Love

Today is Valentine's.

I know you know.

Do you have a sweet valentine.

This morning Derek gave us all hugs and kisses saying

he must be the luckiest man to have 5 valentines!

A boy at school asked Kirstin to be his valentine.

She said "no thank you."

But then she came home from school and asked me what being someones valentine really means.

It means you extra special.

And guess what peeps?

I am extra special!

Why you may ask.

Did my husband over pay get me flowers? Nope.

Don't get me wrong, I love getting flowers, but the they are ridiculously priced today.

Anyways, did I get a box of fat chocolate?Nope.

What did I get you ask?

 

 A 1920's farmhouse mantel!

Can't see the potential?

Well you need to get to know my hubby.

He is pretty good with tools and paint.

The fact that it will be a true labor of love makes it an 

extra special valentines present.

This baby needs some love. My camera is makin' it look

 a little better than it looks up close in person.

It is white......a nice been sittin' in a shed forever pale yellowish white.LOL

Some nice chips,dents, and broken pieces.

He got me this lovely mantel for about the same price or maybe

even cheaper than roses and chocolate.

And it will last for ever.

And I super duper love it.

My husband knows me, he gets me.

Makes my heart go pitter-patter.

So Happy Valentines Day to my extra special man

Lime Green Cupcakes and Some Snow

So last night while makin' dinner,

me, Kaveri, and Kylie decided to make some cupcakes.

I let them pick the colors.

Lime green.

With pink and purple icing.

To sprinkle or not to sprinkle?

Ummmm, its Kaveri and Kylie.....of course we sprinkled!

I could barely keep their fingers outta that icing.

So then this morning we woke up to some snow.

Then Derek made a fire for marshmallows.

MiKayla retreated to the porch, she was cold.

Then it was inside for some hot showers and nap time:)

Maybe A Nudist

Ok, so if you know me, you know that when I'm at home

I hang out in little clothing.

At any given moment if our door bell rings I usually

have to throw on some sort sweatshirt or something.

I cook like this, I clean like this.

I just prefer it.

Apparently Mikayla has taken notice.

She is 20 months old and she is refusing

clothing on a daily basis.

We fight her to get her diaper on.

Then I try my best to get her in anything.

First I try to get a onesie on b/c it

has those little buttons. Then I try to

put something over that.

Give the girl thirty minutes in some corner

and she comes back naked and laughing!!!!

Yes she is rockin shoes naked!

She climbs on the potty,

sits for a while, then wipes and flushes.

But last week i kept asking"are you done"
MiKayla:"nuh-uh"
Then after about five minutes she finally said yes.
When I went to "pretend" wipe her,
I realized that she actually went poopoo in the potty all by herself!!

Also let me just point out that this week it's in the 40's.

I have tried everything.

Let her put panties on over her diaper.

Worked for a bit.

Let her wear dressup clothes over her long-johns.

Worked for a bit.

Let her pick her own clothes.

Worked for a bit.
Even used a piece of duck tape on her diaper straps.

But no matter what,

she disappears and comes back in the nude.

I end up chasing her all over the house.

When SHE thinks it is cold she heads for her sisters bed to cover up.

She also has been infatuated with my high heels.

She goes upstairs by herself and gets a pair and brings them down to play in.

And yes they have been filled with pee......

Good thing I never wear them.

She is my naked baby who brings our whole family lots of laughter!

Sweet Moments

You know those moments when 

you have a huge proud smile on your face.

When your heart feels warm.

When you melt.

I love those moments.

and yes Kylie is wearing a bikini.....

I love how MiKayla looks up to her big sister.

I love those little toes.

I am so blessed to have these little ladies in my life.

I'm so thankful for my four girls.

My life wouldn't be the same with out each one of them.

They make me a mommy.

And I love being their momma.

I'm so thankful that I have the opportunity to be a mother!

 Its a privilege!
