Happy New Year's..... Eve Peeps!!!-2011

I hope everyone had a wonderful 2011.

We certainly did.

God worked in our lives lots in 2011 and we are extremely  grateful.

Over the last year, I have really been seeing all the blessings

that God has given us, small and big. I feel like my eyes were really opened.

If you can't see the smallest blessing than you can miss them.

So because I am so grateful for 2011, for the whole month of

January, after every blog post, I will tell you something I am

grateful for that we all typically take for granted.

I hope everyone has an awesome 2012!

I am looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for our family:)

More Christmas-Santa's Cookies

This year we tried not to focus on santa as much.

We really wanted to focus on the true meaning of christmas,

the birth of Jesus Christ.

It wasn't that hard.

We have never taken pictures with santa or anything like that,

but they did make some reindeer food.

Everybody knows reindeers love glitter :)

Then we drank hot chocolate and ate christmas cookies.

chocolate teeth anyone?

Don't forget to lick your plate-

no sprinkles gone to waste!

The girls' left some cookies out for santa.

That was about all the "santa" we really had for the whole month.

He did feel stockings and leave everyone a stuffed animal.

 

Christmas Time

Didn't Christmas come so fast?

Here and gone before I knew it.

We had a ton of fun playing games and soaking up

alot of family time.

We made lots of cookies.

Even Natas got involoved.

We love us some daddy.

Cool pics, Cool pics, Yeah! - Part 2

I have visions in my mind.

I want things to be a certain way and look a certain way.

This goes for the pictures I take as well.

Unfortunately, just because I'm anal, does not mean I get what i want or envision.

Sometimes, I get lucky and get something just as good or even better than what I wanted.

The first one is a little grainy.

I think the second one is better.

Yo Gabba Gabba anyone?

 

Any who........

I have been attempting to learn my camera.

I have had it for over a year now.

I really love photography and I want to take a class very soon.

But as of right now google and youtube and my teaching sources.

So on to some of my cool pics- well I think.

These are all in the xmas silhouette category.

This has been a trial and error. Just try it- type of photography for me.

What I have found is that there is alot of mess-up pictures among some really cool ones.

I even think some of my mess-ups turn out really cool and funky, like

the last three pictures.

First night of Christmas Break

Yesterday marked the first night of Kirstin's much needed Christmas break.

We had a celebration DeGraeve style.

First we went on a long walk around the neighborhood looking at lights.

It was cold but no one seemed to mind.

We played a little wii.

We ate chicken and wildrice soup.

Then began the game of draydel.

Heres the rules:

1-everyone starts out with ten chocolate coins

2-you spin your draydel and do what it lands on

-nun= do nothing

-hey= take half the coins

-shin= put two coins in

-gimel= take all the coins

3- anytime any coins are taken out everyone puts one in

4- once all your coins are gone your out

I lost first. Then Derek. Then Kirstin.

Kaveri won! Afterwards, everyone ate one gold coin.

 MiKayla really liked them.

Tonight we are having a re-match.

Then we watched this.

Better than the first one. We loved it!

Before bed we had a kung fu match.
